MA Center Michigan

Mission: To provide a place where people can devote their time and energy to the remembrance of God, doing selfless service and developing qualities such as love, patience and respect for others.

The MA Center Michigan is the physical home to a small group of residents, and the spiritual home for hundreds of people from Ann Arbor, the metropolitan Detroit area, as well as the greater Midwest. On Saturdays, everyone comes together to participate in service opportunities and attend programs. This wider community also participates in special events throughout the year, including spiritual retreats, environmental workshops, and holiday celebrations. People also meet regularly in local area small community groups, called satsangs, for spiritual upliftment and connection.We are a local humanitarian organization under Embracing the World. We do service projects (help with Salvation Army Saturday lunches, help every other week with Meals on Wheels and have a section of Adopt-a-Highway).

The MA Center Michigan serves as a spiritual home and humanitarian hub for people across Ann Arbor, metropolitan Detroit, and the greater Midwest. Rooted in the teachings of Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma), our center provides a space for spiritual growth, selfless service, and community connection.

Guided by Amma’s mission of love and compassion, we engage in service projects such as Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army meal programs, and Adopt-a-Highway cleanups. Our community gathers on Saturdays for service opportunities, meditation, and spiritual programs, while smaller local satsang groups meet regularly for connection and upliftment.

Inspired by Amma’s life of unconditional love and service, we strive to embody her vision: to provide a space where people cultivate love, patience, and respect while working toward the betterment of all beings. Join us in service, devotion, and community.
