Who We Are
Mission: To develop educators who transform the educational experience of Black and Brown students so that they become the leaders of tomorrow.
The Black Male Educators Alliance (BMEA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2017. We are committed to building equitable educational environments where Black male educators and students thrive. We focus on empowering the individual by providing the support, resources, and advocacy necessary for academic and professional success.
What We Do
We build liberatory school spaces for Black, Brown, and economically disadvantaged communities. Through our independently designed framework, educator fellowships, school partnerships where we facilitate whole school professional development and direct coaching to principals and teachers, youth leadership development, and our family engagement network, we’ve empowered educators, students, and families, fostering academic excellence and holistic growth.
