Caught Up Mentoring is a Detroit-based nonprofit committed to transforming the lives of at-risk youth, particularly young men ages 12–18. Founded by educator and mentor Toson Knight, the program provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment where youth are empowered to make positive life choices, build meaningful relationships, and prepare for a successful future.
We believe that every young person deserves a chance to rise above their circumstances. Our team of mentors, educators, and advocates work hands-on with youth to promote academic success, emotional healing, leadership development, and spiritual growth. Through consistent mentorship, life skills training, and community engagement, we aim to break cycles of poverty, violence, and incarceration.
Whether through tutoring, restorative circles, college prep, or Midnight Basketball, Caught Up meets youth where they are—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—and walks with them as they discover who they can become.
