Founded in 1971, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne Metro) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving  low-and moderate-income residents throughout Wayne County. Our over 500 staff provide a range of services to help people achieve their education, income, and housing goals. 

We provide over 60 services in the areas of education, income, and housing. Our services include financial counseling, homeownership workshops, housing counseling, financial counseling, utility assistance, Head Start early childhood education, GED preparation, free tax preparation, foreclosure prevention, and homeless services.
