The Livonia YMCA host's an event called Parent's Night Out every month, on the second Friday, from 6-10pm. This allow's parents to enjoy their Friday evening, while the Y watches their children.
The YMCA is looking for volunteers to oversee the event. Responsibilities would include engaging with the children, keeping them safe, changing the children into swim gear and pajama's, getting into our pool with them, feeding them dinner (provided by the Y), and most importantly, having fun!
Volunteers would need to complete and return the attached Volunteer Application, pass a background check, complete our child-safe training, and complete an interview and training with the Parent's Night Out coordinator. Applications can be returned to the Livonia YMCA (14255 Stark Rd, Livonia, MI 48154) or e-mailed back to Carrie at clacross@ymcadetroit.org.
Shifts and dates are posted below. Please note: volunteers must sign up for at least THREE shifts to qualify. Applications may take up to two weeks to process.
