CodeDetroit is a 4 day event during Detroit Startup Week in which students from all across Detroit will come together at WSU where we'll introduce them the basics of coding. Students will also have the chance to win prizes and connect with other STEAM programs here in the city.
We're seeking passionate individuals to join our volunteer team and help us introduce 5,000 Detroit high school students to coding! We are looking for:
INSTRUCTORS/ INSTRUCTOR ASSISTANTS: Help guide students through their Code.org App Lab exercise. Only requirement is that instructors complete the Intro to App Lab exercise. In appreciation, for your time we are awarding all instructors and assistants a small stipend gift.
VOLUNTEERS: Passionate people who will assist in helping all 5000 students have a wonderful time. Help with registration, coordination, setup, etc.
