Responsible for the safety, learning, and enjoyment of all participants in the class.
Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents if necessary
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
The instructor should be in the water part of the class with every level and in at all times with beginning levels.
Reviews safety rules with students at each lesson and keeps students in line of vision at all times/never turning their back on a class.
Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment. Completed other duties as assigned by supervisor.
