World Medical Relief serves low-income people, providing medical resources many communities don’t have access to, while collaborating with organizations to provide services to those in need. The agency has served the Metro Detroit senior community with an affordable prescription program and other services since 1966.
On National Senior Day, Wednesday August 21, 2019, World Medical Relief is hosting a Senior Fest. The event will take place inside at World Medical Relief headquarters and is free for seniors. They are encouraged to join health check-ups, exercise, scam prevention resources, volunteer opportunities, lunch and pampering.
To help with checking in, directing traffic in the building, hand out lunches, etc. World Medical Relief is looking for volunteers to assist with the hosting of this event.
The vendor set up starts at 8 a.m. and volunteers are required to come at 7:30 a.m. The event wrap up is at 1 p.m. with a short clean up afterwards.
