The first Saturday of every month, buildOn loves to partner with Gleaners to help out their Southwest pantry: The Mercado Food Hub. Located in the FREC, the Mercado is a client-choice food support program that feeds those that live in zip codes 48209, 48210, and 48216. This job requires that we serve as personal shoppers to assist the smooth protocol that gets over 50 families fed on a Saturday morning/early afternoon. Come ready to serve a large range of people with a smile! Note, not everyone that comes through the pantry will speak English so brush up on your Spanish and Arabic!
