The Cancer Support Community and the Patient Empowerment Network are in need of student volunteers for our Digital Sherpa Program.
Complete volunteer hours while gaining valuable life experiences! Students will act as "digital sherpas" and be paired with cancer patients and caregivers one on one for a short workshop on how to better and more effectively use Internet search and social media channels. For example, students will help patients learn how to connect with other patients, learn more about their disease, and become self-advocates.
FYI: T-shirts and food will be provided.
