Join us as we gift new books to elementary school students to help them grow into strong readers!
United Way for Southeastern Michigan is partnering with Scholastic, Inc. to host several My Home Library Book Fairs at Pontiac Public School District elementary schools throughout the year. At these book fairs, students will get to pick out 5 free books to take home with them to create a home library.
Volunteers are needed on Tues., Dec. 17 at Whitman Elementary School in Pontiac to:
- Help students pick out books
- Help keep books organized
- Assist with the book check-out process
- Assist in other areas of the event as needed
Two shifts are available for registration and volunteers can sign up for one shift or the full day. If reserving spots on behalf of a group, please limit your group size to 2 or 4 volunteers. To register to volunteer, click Respond at the top of the page.
