You are invited to have a life-changing experience as a Gift Giveaway volunteer. Unlike any other holiday giveaway or “adopt-a-family” program, GIFT GIVEAWAY empowers survivors who have utilized HAVEN’s services in the last 12 months to “shop” (for free) through hundreds of items that you and other caring community members donate. Volunteers accompany survivors and help them pick out special gifts for their children and themselves. It is a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Volunteer activities include accepting donations, setting up the holiday market, decorating, organizing donations, helping clients with their “shopping”, restocking displays and more. For any volunteers working outside, we will have heaters and hot beverages to keep you warm. Please wear weather conducive clothing.
