Join us as we gift new books to elementary school students to help them grow into strong readers!
United Way for Southeastern Michigan is partnering with Scholastic, Inc. to host several My Home Library Book Fairs at Pontiac Public School District elementary schools throughout the year. At these book fairs, students will get to pick out free books to take home with them to create a home library.
Volunteers are needed throughout the week of May 16, 2022 at Whitman Elementary School in Pontiac to:
- Help students pick out books
- Help keep books organized
- Assist with the book check-out process
- Assist in other areas of the event as needed
All volunteers will be subject to a background screening prior to volunteering and health screening on the day of service. External visitors must wear a mask in the school.
Two shifts are available for registration and volunteers can sign up for one shift or the full day. To register to volunteer, click Respond at the top of the page.
