Classroom volunteers interact with the class in a positive and friendly way to help inspire children to learn and love learning. Head Start operates Monday-Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm, September-June. Volunteer and customize their schedule and do not have to stay for the entire day.
Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to:
- Reading or telling stories
- Leading songs, rhymes or games
- Assist in supervising play, art, or other activities
- Assist in serving meals
- Help keep the classroom orderly, safe and clean
Requirements:
- Clear background check
- Central Registry clearance through DHHS
- TB test
